Depending on how your company configured Duo authentication, you may or may not see a “Passcode” field when using the Cisco AnyConnect client.

Single Password with Automatic Push

If AnyConnect only prompts for a password, like so:

After you submit your login information, an authentication request is automatically sent to you via push to the Duo Mobile app or as a phone call.

Visit for free, full and secured software’s. Jul 03, 2018  I was able to connect via Outlook 2016 on Mac, and Outlook on iOS tablet and phone after enabling MFA on a user, did not require anything additional on the 365 Exchange admin side. A second note; if you're on Outlook 2013, you need a registry key; documented at the bottom of this post. On your computer, click the Can’t scan link so that you can access the secret key and enter it in the Key field. The pass code generator screen appears and generates pass codes to use when prompted for extra verification.

Alternatively, you can add a comma (“,”) to the end of your password, followed by a Duo passcode or the name of a Duo factor. Here's how:

  1. Choose the mobile app. Open a browser on your computer and go to portal.office.com. Sign in to your Office 365 for business account. Use these steps if you see this screen: Click Set it up now. Choose Mobile app from the dropdown. Make sure 'Receive notifications for verifications' is selected. Click Set up.
  2. Apr 07, 2020  Anyone encounters that Outlook will keep prompting for password when a federated identity with O365 with MFA enabled? For Skype for Business, I can see the federated login page and subsequently the MFA prompt. However, for Outlook, all I see is a flash of a blank screen and then it fails and said in the status bar it need password.
  3. Under MFA Settings, click Enable MFA. Open the authenticator application you installed above and scan the QR code that is displayed in the Enable MFA dialog box. Alternatively, you can use the manual configuration option by clicking on Show secret key for manual configuration and then entering the secret key in the authenticator application.
  4. If you manually log onto these switches, you receive a splash-screen that requires you to press any key to continue. For the life of me, I cannot find a command/argument that I can put into the script to send a keystroke to the target system to get past the damn splash-screen so that the change sequence can commence.

AWS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a simple best practice that adds an extra layer of protection on top of your user name and password. With MFA enabled, when a user signs in to an AWS Management Console, they will be prompted for their user name and password (the first factor—what they know), as well as for an authentication code from their AWS MFA device (the second factor—what they have). Taken together, these multiple factors provide increased security for your AWS account settings and resources.

You can enable MFA for your AWS account and for individual IAM users you have created under your account. MFA can be also be used to control access to AWS service APIs.

After you've obtained a supported hardware or virtual MFA device, AWS does not charge any additional fees for using MFA.

You can also protect cross-account access using MFA.
